Kicking off 2025 with something completely new

Greetings gentle readers. If you are familiar with me and my work, and you've been here before, you will immediately notice that things are changing around here. For one, my website has been redesigned to capture a certain elegance and simplicity, and after considering whether to go forward using my full name, Julie H. Kimbrell on my work, I've switched back to J.H. Kimbrell. This may seem trivial, but there is another author of the same name out there and writing in at least one of my genres, so I think it best to help keep readers from getting confused between us.
Secondly, I made a huge decision at the end of 2024 to finally let go of some control over my work and allow my agent to do her job shopping my weird west series, Dime Novel Dreadfuls, to a traditional "brick and mortar" publisher. Over recent months, I've been crafting a series bible that goes with the revised and updated manuscript of The Bend, which will soon be pulled from Amazon until further notice and pending its republication, which will hopefully be followed by Raging Angels and all titles planned thereafter. Speaking of Raging Angels, it has been sitting in its third act and will soon be finished and ready to continue Hiram's journey where it left off in The Bend.
So what, then, you ask, is that lovely cover on the Home page with something about half-demon demigods? Well, that, is the beginning of my paranormal romance series, which began development first with the notion of a paranormal cozy mystery with some extra steaminess, but then I fessed up. Let's call it what it truly is: a paranormal romance. Once I quit trying to fence it in, it went from a cozy to a full blow urban fantasy, which I've had a blast developing. This one is a pet project that I'll publish separately, and I think those of you out there who enjoy the likes of a good steamy adventure will find it a fun and enticing read. More to come on that as it unfolds.
Can't wait for more! Get writing Lady! hehehe I am very excited for you and can't wait to see what your imagination comes up with!
