THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

A lot of changes and other great things are coming soon. Jhkimbrell.com will soon be migrating to MythicWildStudios.com, which will become an umbrella for both my art and published works. This came about when, on Facebook I reactivated my Kimbrell Studios page only to discover that another artist was using the same name for his photography. Rather than gripe and worry about traffic confusion, I decided to turn the situation around and create a whole new platform. Thus, after a little searching and double checking for name use, Mythic Wild Studios was born and has now been registered as a domain.
Further, my Weird West series Dime Novel Dreadfuls will soon be retitled Mythic Wild West in keeping with the theme. In general, this branding of “mythic wild” carries across many of my other works given my choices in subject matter from fantasy themes to dark and mysterious and romantic.
In the meantime, The Bend original edition remains available on Amazon Kindle until the updated title will be applied. However, it’s possible that a new cover will be in the works as well. Something perhaps not too far from the current one, but made purely by my own hand and not with the help of AI and Photoshop. AI has served me well enough during my dry spell, but it is time to move away from it and awaken my inner artist and get back to basics with paint and pencil and creating some original covers. AI is a touchy matter, and at the time I started using it, I was okay with it as long as I was only treating the generated image as I would a stock shot that I could manipulate to accommodate with Photoshop to create the cover image I was going for, but I never wanted to depend on it too much except for a few extras here and there. I know this will be a long process, but I’m finally seeing light at the end of this long tunnel I’ve been stuck in.
I thank everyone of you who has hung in there with me for this journey.
